- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I recently had cataract surgery at the hospital under Mr Winder and his team, who were amazing. After waiting over 11 months with the NHS we were forced to go private Although after working for over 40 years and paying NI etc , I don't feel I should have had to pay privately but my condition (practically blind and life on hold), we really had no choice. The whole process from pre-assessment to the final check up on my second eye took under 8 weeks. All the staff here, reception, nurses and everyone were all friendly and helpful and I was informed of the procedure all the way through. I cannot thank Mr Winder enough for restoring my sight, it is truly life changing, unless you have been there you can't comprehend.by Sue SilcockApril 28, 2017
